Pratt Whitney Course

Residencies

Current Online MBA student Justin Weber has found his place within a dynamic team. Together, they balance everyday life with higher-education and face any challenge as an opportunity.

To enhance experiential learning, four mandatory 3-4 day residencies are built into the program - one each fall and spring semesters. During our residencies, you’ll connect what you learn in the classroom to tangible issues and develop confidence in what you know and what you can do while incorporating course curriculum. These experiences will provide interaction with faculty, experiential learning, and networking opportunities with peers. Three residencies are held in Morgantown, West Virginia with the fourth being in Washington, D.C. The residencies are as follows:

Orientation

Meet your cohort and teammates in Morgantown, WV while being introduced to Managerial and Team Skills and Business Research curricula. Several Online MBA faculty make an appearance throughout Orientation for you to learn more about them and the courses they teach. Orientation will conclude with a day full of team-building activities.

Washington, DC Experience

Online MBA alum Imad Matini recounts his experience during the D.C. Residency, including his unique opportunity to network with some of D.C.’s most prestigious professionals.

This residency is held during your second semester and is tied to the Strategy course. You will again meet with cohort peers and learn about the relationship between government and business while hearing from well-respected guest speakers.

Building the Business Professional

Learn about managerial soft skills during this residency held again in Morgantown, WV. You'll cover Marketing Strategy curriculum while addressing a case study and doing a marketing pitch. We'll also share with you more of the Mountaineer spirit.

Mock Venture Capital Fair

Your final semester will include a mock venture capital fair held in Morgantown, WV. Work with your teammates to navigate through a simulation and pitch your business's needs to mock VCs. This project is part of your Integrated Global Business course.
